We are working alongside a major Miami based data storage and networking platform expanding out their engineering teams and in need of an Engineering Manager with a background in team leadership and ideally using either Javascript or JVM. The teams deploy through AWS and ideally a background using such is what we’re looking for but other cloud providers will be considered.
There is a major migration taking place which means new features are being designed and built using both React.js/Typescript and JVM through microservices with Kubernetes and a lot of complex problems are being solved on a daily basis. The successful candidate will role model thinking of how to use your experience to help shape the direction of the team and being data obsessed, be able to work effectively across multiple teams and organisations. You will love thinking about new products, technologies and initiatives, and be adept at synthesizing a variety of tools and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications.
Key Skills for the Engineering Manager
Experience leading teams of software engineers by contributing to the development of product strategy and vision
Experience with at least one major cloud provider, ideally AWS
Experience leading React/Typescript or JVM ( Java / Ruby on Rails) engineering teams with a hands-on approach
Ideally experience working with Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana
Microservices experience
