We are working alongside a major European data storage and networking platform expanding out their engineering teams and in need of a Development Manager with a background in team leadership and ideally using either Python or Golang. The teams deploy through AWS and ideally a background using such is what we’re looking for but other cloud providers will be considered.
There is a major migration taking place which means new features are being designed and built using Golang through microservices with Kubernetes and a lot of complex problems are being solved on a daily basis. The successful candidate will role model thinking of how to use your experience to help shape the direction of the team and being data obsessed, be able to work effectively across multiple teams and organisations. You will love thinking about new products, technologies and initiatives, and be adept at synthesizing a variety of tools and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications.
Key skills for the Development Manager:
Experience leading teams of software engineers by contributing to the development of product strategy and vision
Experience with at least one major cloud provider, ideally AWS
Experience working with Go or Python
Ideally experience working with Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana
Microservices experience
Demonstrated experience managing teams of engineers
